Are you tired of the narrow field of view (FOV) on the standard Gameloop emulator? Many players want the famous iPad View to see more of the battlefield, but they struggle with custom resolutions that make the game look blurry or stretched.
In this guide, I’m showing you the secret to getting a crystal-clear, high-quality iPad View in the Gameloop 64-bit emulator—without creating custom resolutions in Nvidia or AMD control panels.
1. Why iPad View?
iPad View gives you a wider vertical and horizontal perspective, making it easier to spot enemies and control recoil. However, most "tricks" result in a blurry screen. Our method focuses on maintaining High Definition quality while getting that perfect 4:3 aspect ratio.
2. Setting the Resolution in Gameloop
First, you need to set a base resolution that mimics the iPad's aspect ratio.
- Open Gameloop Settings > Engine.
- Scroll down to Resolution and select Customize.
- Enter 1600 x 1200 (this is the high-graphics recommendation) or 1440 x 1080,1920 x 1900,1620 x 1600,1920 x 1440.
- Pro Tip: Avoid 1280 x 1024 as it often results in lower pixel density and looks blurry.
3. The Aspect Ratio Calculator Trick
To make the image fit your screen perfectly without those annoying black side borders, you need to match your monitor's display to the game's ratio.
- Go to an Aspect Ratio Calculator website.
- Enter your game resolution (e.g., 1600 x 1200) on one side.
- On the other side, check your Windows Display Settings to see which available resolutions match that same ratio.
- For a 1600 x 1200 game setting, a Windows resolution like 1280 x 960 often provides a perfect, full-screen stretch.
4. Fixing the Blur (GPU Sharpening)
If your game still feels a bit soft after stretching, use your GPU settings to sharpen the image:
- For AMD Users: Open Adrenalin, go to Gaming settings, and enable Image Sharpening. Set it between 80% and 100%.
- For Nvidia Users: Go to the Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Image Scaling/Sharpening and increase the value until the edges look crisp.
5. Final Result
Once you apply these settings and press F11 in Gameloop, you will have a full-screen iPad View with zero black bars and zero blur. Your gameplay will feel much more open, and your movements will feel faster.
